Bec is the founder of the Natural Gift collective, a small business creating hand-made wooden gifts from sustainably sourced Camphor (a pest tree inhabiting Australia).
Although a qualified Environmental Engineer, Bec has always loved any creative outlet, and when she discovered pyrography (burning wood) it allowed her love of art and nature to be combined with rustic homeware in the form of the Natural Gift Collective.
Since 2015, Bec has expanded her business to include personalised boards, baskets and homewares all being created using environmentally friendly materials. Bec’s wooden pieces are made using single piece timber, sourced near Byron Bay, to protect this internationally renowned site. By using organic (wild grown) camphor laurel wood, she is removing a pest system from the Australian environment whilst simultaneously protecting native species.
