When it comes to making meaningful change, the last year has shown us the importance of tracking our progress in a marketplace that demands better. In the past, our business practises and KPIs have been rigorously recorded (and commended) for accreditation and certification purposes. This year, we’re bringing this data to the masses so the whole world can see what we’ve achieved – and what we’re striving for.
Aggie Gifts is an Australian owned business. All our product suppliers are Australian producers, so you know you are supporting multiple local businesses at once, with every Aggie purchase.
With our partners and packaging supplies, we focus on working with Australian owned companies such as EnviroPrint, AusPost, Signet, the Cardboard Box Shop and RooCreate.
When we work with designers and marketing consultants, they are also Australian owned and run businesses.
As we grow, you help all of our Australian suppliers grow too.
To measure our growth effectively, we differentiate our products supplied from Indigenous vs non-Indigenous Australian suppliers into 2 categories; Year Round products and Products supplied for our Christmas Campaigns.
These 2 categories show our yearly growth and how consistent we are continuing to support our suppliers throughout the year.
For our year round gift boxes, we currently source 50% of our products from Indigenous owned businesses and suppliers.
In 2020, Indigenous suppliers provided 40% of our products (both year round and for our Christmas Campaign).
For our 2021 Christmas Campaign, we have increased Indigenous supplied products to account for 60%, with the goal for 2022's Christmas Campaign to source 80% Indigenous supplied products.
We also want to be sourcing 70% of our year round products from Indigenous suppliers by the end of 2022.
Aggie Gifts has chosen packaging made from recycled materials making itself recyclable or compostable.
From our packing tape to 'bubble wrap', what you receive in your gift box is at home recyclable or compostable.
The products themselves mayn't be packaged in environmentally friendly packaging, but we try to partner with suppliers who minimise plastic use as much as possible.
